Lenses and Frames

Osage Beach Family Eyecare carries a wide variety of lenses and frames.

Many types of lenses and frames are available that can be tailored to suit not only your vision needs, but also your fashion preferences.

Our opticians will help guide you through options that highlight your features, experiment with color, or maximize your vision when reading, driving, or playing sports.  This experience can be daunting without help from our opticians at Osage Beach Family Eyecare. Here, we make the choices easier.

Eyeglasses

There are three components to prescription lenses: design, material, and lens treatments. It is important to consult with our opticians to choose a combination of these elements that suit your particular visual needs. The knowledgeable staff at Osage Beach Family Eyecare will consider long-term comfort, style, features, and function when suggesting a new pair of eyeglasses. The eyeglasses become as unique as the wearer.

Eyeglass Lenses

Selecting the best lenses depends largely on what’s right for you. From single vision to progressive lenses, we are happy to help you find what best suits your needs. Our doctors at Osage Beach Family Eyecare can help determine what types of lenses will work best for you in terms of comfort, function, and design.

Frame Styles

When choosing a frame, certain selections can be used to enhance the color of your eyes, complement your skin tone, or play up the best features of your face shape.  Most people will need more than one pair of glasses, and should have one for everyday wear and another for outdoor activities. Having different styles of frames for different activities and moods makes wearing glasses more fun.  At Osage Beach Family Eyecare, we offer a wide array of frame styles from designers such as Jimmy Choo, Swarovski, Vogue, Penguin, and many others–our opticians enjoy helping you find the frames that best suits your needs.

Sunglasses

With the wide variety of lens options available, you can customize your sunglasses to meet your visual, protection, performance, and comfort needs.  Sunglasses protect your eyes from harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation, which is present even on cloudy days.  Quality sunwear provides 100 percent UV protection and can significantly reduce the risk of eye and vision problems such as cataracts and retinal damage caused by sunlight.  Polarized lenses can reduce distracting glare, which can make it difficult to see objects clearly by washing out colors and details. Using polarized lenses, you’ll notice that details are clearer and more distinct, and that colors seem deeper, richer, and bolder.  Polarized lenses also help reduce squinting, which in turn reduces eye fatigue, tension, and eyestrain.

Anti-Reflective Lenses

Wearers of prescription glasses and sunglasses commonly encounter glare and reflections caused by light bouncing off their lenses.  This glare makes it difficult to see, especially at night.  Anti-reflective lenses reduce reflections, allowing more light to pass through to your eyes.  All lens surfaces naturally reflect light and this can prevent between 7-14% of the light needed for optimal vision. Because anti-reflective treated lenses allow more light to reach your eyes by reducing reflections, it becomes easier to see in these situations. Ask about Crizal for elite non-glare lenses that will make you wonder how you lived without them.

Lenses and frames are a necessity, but also reflect who we are. Osage Beach Family Eyecare has the experience to guide you toward eyewear choices that are comfortable, function, and compliment your face and style. Shedule an appointment today and discuss options with our Opticians, Nicole and Mikayla.
